How to read a certificate
A certificate of analysis is the laboratory record for your product. Much of this industry buries it. Here is exactly what to verify, so nobody sells you a story.
- Total THCA
- The raw potency before heat. The headline figure for the strength of the flower or concentrate.
- Delta 9 THC
- Must read below 0.3% by dry weight for federally compliant hemp. Every batch in this library clears that line.
- Batch or lot number
- Ties the certificate to the exact run you are acquiring. It matches the batch on the product page.
- Test date and laboratory
- When it was tested and by whom. Only accredited independent laboratories, never in house numbers.
- Pass or fail panels
- Pesticides, heavy metals, residual solvents, and microbials must all pass. Without a pass, it never reaches the vault.
